Modern slate-roofed farmhouse with stone lower walls behind a dry-stone wall in a grassy rural setting
Slate-tiled roof with two skylights and a central glass atrium above a stone and rendered wall, under a pale cloudy sky

We set about identifying key principals to explore – namely, pitched slate roofs, simple building forms and the idea of connecting new and old. The solution was to create two forms – a stone cladding section and rendered clad element, both connected with a modern glass link.

The conclusion is a simple yet elegant building that blends seamlessly with its rural setting.
